ABOUT THE CLINIC

Our goal is a healthy and productive school day for all students.  In the event your student becomes ill during the school day, the clinic provides comfort measures and a temporary place to rest until they feel better.  Students who have a fever, are vomiting, are too ill to function in the classroom, or who show symptoms of an illness that could be spread to others, will be sent home.  You can help by keeping your contact information current, so you can be easily reached when your child needs you during the school day.  To make changes, simply call or e-mail.  Please feel free to contact the clinic as needed to discuss ongoing health concerns that may require attention at school.

WELLNESS

To help your child be healthy and independent at school, teach and practice these skills:

  • effective hand washing

  • nose blowing and how to cover coughs

  • shoe tying

  • beginning the day with breakfast

and encourage them to bring these items to school daily

  • safe/appropriate shoes for PE

  • water bottle

  • a change of clothing
