HEALTH MAINTENANCE

Some people dream of success. We make it happen.
IMMUNIZATIONS

Immunization records are a part of your student's registration paperwork, and records are maintained by the school to ensure that state requirements are met.  If your student's immunizations are 'in progress', you will receive a reminder from the clinic when the next vaccine is due.  If you have any questions regarding immunization requirements, please contact the clinic.

From the nurse:
VISION and HEARING

Good vision and hearing are essential to successful learning.  If glasses are prescribed for your child, please encourage them to remember to bring them to school and wear them as directed.

Each year, students in grades K, 1 and 3 are screened for hearing and  distance vision.  If a student is unable to complete the screening successfully, a referral letter will be sent home by the clinic.

If you receive a referral letter, please make arrangements for a professional vision and/or hearing evaluation, and take the letter with you to your appointment.  Ask your doctor to complete the bottom of the letter, and return it to the school clinic.

Screenings can be done at any time, so if you have concerns about your child's vision and/or hearing, please contact the clinic to request an evaluation.

SPECIAL CONCERNS

School nurses can help students manage a variety of acute and chronic health conditions.  If your child has a health concern that requires emergency or daily medication, modification of activity routines, or special screening, please contact the clinic.
